A vehicle dedicated to your job, nothing else on board. The range runs from a small van up to 7.5 tonne, with a tail lift on everything from Luton upwards, collecting and delivering across the UK.
The vehicle range
Every class below is live in our booking system today, so most of it can be priced online rather than waiting for a callback.
| Vehicle | Typically used for | Loading |
|---|---|---|
| Small van, short, long and extra-long wheelbase | Boxes, cases and light loads one person can handle | Kerbside |
| Luton box and Luton curtain | Furniture, white goods, heavy single items | Tail lift available |
| 7.5 tonne box and 7.5 tonne curtain | Large, long or awkward loads | Tail lift available |
Tail lift matters more than people expect: without one, and without a forklift at both ends, a pallet cannot come off the vehicle. If you are not sure what is at the delivery end, say so and we will assume kerbside with a tail lift.
What dedicated means
The vehicle collects from you and drives straight to the delivery with nothing else on board. It is loaded once and unloaded once, there is no depot in between, and we can tell you collection and delivery times rather than a day. That is what you are paying for.
What we need to price it
A freight price depends on the load, not just the postcodes. To quote accurately we need:
- Collection and delivery postcodes
- The weight, and the length, width and height of the load
- Whether it is on pallets, and how many
- Whether either end needs a tail lift, and whether there is anyone to unload
- When it needs to be collected, and when it has to arrive
If the load does not fit a standard vehicle class, or you are not sure which size you need, send the dimensions and we will tell you what it fits in.
How the job runs
- You get a price online, or you send us the job and we price it.
- We assign the right vehicle for the load and the deadline — the full range above is available, with a tail lift where you need one.
- You deal with us throughout: one point of contact, one invoice, and we stay on the job until it is delivered.
We collect and deliver across the UK. Freight enquiries are handled during working hours — there is no overnight desk, so a job needed outside those hours has to be arranged with us in advance rather than booked at the time.
Charges that can be added after the job are set out in our terms of carriage — waiting time beyond the free allowance, and weight or dimension adjustments where a carrier re-measures the load. We will always show you the record behind any such charge.
Common questions
What size vehicle do I need?
It is decided by the weight, the dimensions and whether the load is palletised — not by the distance. Send us those three things and we will tell you the smallest vehicle that fits, because quoting you a bigger one than you need just loses us the job.
What is the difference between this and a parcel service?
A parcel travels on a shared network and is handled at each depot it passes through. A dedicated vehicle collects from you and drives straight to the delivery with nothing else on board, so it is faster and handled once — and it costs more, because you are paying for the whole vehicle.
Can I get it collected today?
Same-day work is a dedicated vehicle, so it depends on where the load is and what size it needs rather than on a cut-off time. Get a price online and it will show what is available for your postcodes.
Do I need an account to book?
No — you can book a one-off job and pay by card. An account is worth opening if you send regularly: you book without re-entering details and you can ask us about credit terms.
