Four rules. No exceptions.
1. The quote price is the final price.
Every cost is on the quote: base rate, distance, fuel surcharge, weekend/out-of-hours premium, optional cover, VAT. There’s nothing added at booking, nothing added at delivery, nothing added at month-end. Pay what you quoted.
2. Volume customers get better rates automatically.
From 50 parcels/week we apply business rates without you needing to ask. Custom contracts available from 250 parcels/week — get in touch and we’ll review your shipping mix.
3. Insurance is opt-in, declared-value.
Goods-in-transit cover is optional. Declare your shipment’s value at booking and we add cover for that amount. Cover priced at 0.5–1% of declared value depending on category, shown on the quote before you confirm.
4. Returns labels and pickups are priced separately.
Return labels for your customers are roughly 20% cheaper than outbound rates. Pickups (rather than drop-off) carry a small surcharge — typically £1.50 per parcel, free on volume accounts.

How much does a same-day courier cost in the UK?
Same-day courier prices start at £30 + VAT for a bike courier on short London runs, up to £85 + VAT for a large van/Luton anywhere in the UK. The exact price depends on the distance and vehicle — enter your postcodes and parcel details for an instant transparent quote, locked in before you confirm.
Are there any hidden charges or fuel surcharges?
No. Every cost is listed on the quote before you click confirm: base rate, distance miles, any surcharges (weekend +25%, out-of-hours +15%), optional goods-in-transit cover, and VAT shown separately. Nothing is added at delivery or at month-end. The price you see is the price you pay.
How do volume discounts work?
Volume rates apply automatically from 50 parcels per week — no need to ask. Custom contracts are available from 250 parcels/week; contact our sales team and we’ll review your shipping mix and build a bespoke rate card. Most volume customers save 15–30% vs single-parcel rates.
What does courier insurance cost?
Goods-in-transit cover is optional. Declare the value of your shipment at booking and we price cover at 0.5–1% of that value (depending on item category). So for a £1,000 item, cover costs £5–10. All shown clearly before you confirm — it’s never added automatically.
Do prices include VAT?
All prices shown are exclusive of VAT (+ VAT). VAT at 20% is added and shown as a separate line item on every quote and invoice. Business customers can reclaim VAT in the usual way. We issue full VAT invoices on all bookings.
