Pallet delivery — your questions
Do I need a tail-lift at my address?
Not always. If you can load and unload by forklift or ramp, no tail-lift is needed. If you’re delivering kerbside to a residential address or any location without unloading equipment, request a tail-lift on your quote — it’s a small surcharge (typically £15) and the driver brings hydraulics for ground-level handover.
Can you deliver to non-business addresses?
Yes — we deliver to homes, sites, garages, and farms. Heads-up: residential pallet deliveries typically need a tail-lift and the recipient available to sign. For two-person lifts (sofas, fridges), book that crew option at quote time and we’ll dispatch a team.
What’s the difference between pallet and same-day van?
Same-day van service is point-to-point, anytime today, for cargo that fits in a Luton (up to 1,000 kg / 1 pallet). Pallet service is scheduled (typically next-day) on a shared lorry — much cheaper per pallet because we’re combining loads. Need it today? Same-day vans deliver pallets too — just quote that service.
How big can a single pallet be?
Standard pallet footprint is 1.2 m × 1.0 m. We accept heights up to 2.2 m (full pallet) or up to 2.4 m for oversized (Luton-only). For wider or taller loads — sofas, full mattresses, machinery — switch to the oversized or custom-quote option and we’ll arrange the right vehicle.
What about hazardous goods?
We handle ADR-rated loads with certified drivers — speak to our team for limited-quantity (LQ), excepted-quantity (EQ), and full ADR shipments. Some categories (Class 1 explosives, Class 7 radioactive) require specialist routing we can arrange but not via the standard quote flow.
